About me

My work is based on this  quotation of the Chinese philosopher Confucius.  I have been working as a teacher of German as a foreign or as a second language for years. I believe that – despite all the boundaries in our world – we can meet in different contexts and understand each other as long as we master the chosen language.

During my studies of German, History and German as a Foreign Language in Berlin and Potsdam, I always had this purpose, connecting people through language, in mind. In every situation language will only be effective if word and meaning coincide.

As a student of romance and slavic languages, I learned that perfection is almost impossible to achieve. However, I also learned that, with the help of the right teacher, I was able to overcome my uncertainty regarding foreign sounds and words. Thus the foreign language and foreign people became more familiar.

As a language teacher with years of practical experience I enjoy giving a helping hand to people learning German. I look forward meeting you.
